I’m excited to announce that Nova Credit will begin serving immigrants from South America through partnering with the Brazilian credit bureau Serasa Experian and the Peruvian credit bureau Círculo de Crédito!

Prior to joining Nova Credit, I spent seven years working in financial inclusion in Latin America, including two years spent living in Peru working to help low-income individuals access credit and, by extension, a wider set of opportunities for themselves and their families. I care deeply about ensuring that everyone, regardless of where they were born or where they now live, has access to high-quality financial products and services. Latin America will always have a special place in my heart, and I'm thrilled to play a part in building these exciting collaborations in Peru and Brazil.

Through the integrations with the Brazilian and Peruvian credit bureaus, we will help immigrants from both countries import their credit history to the U.S. This in turn enables them to gain easier and fairer access to housing, credit cards, loans, and other products and services that require credit checks upon application.

- Alfonso Higueras Suarez, Managing Director of Peru, Círculo de Crédito.

This is our second partnership with Círculo de Crédito to help immigrants access their credit history. After we successfully launched with their bureau in Mexico, we were able to scale our collaboration to Peru as well.

- Vander Nagata, Vice President of Consumer Information at Serasa Experian Brazil

We're living through a historical moment that is rife with anti-immigrant sentiment, adding yet another hurdle to the long list of challenges facing individuals and families who are building new lives in new places. At Nova, we believe that it's both an ethical and strategic priority to continue building our international bureau network, particularly in Latin America, and foresee significant additional expansion in the region in the next several months. We're proud to play a role in helping immigrants get on their feet as they seek opportunity or asylum.

With our data partnership growth into Peru and Brazil, we are now positioned to help immigrants from every continent except Antarctica.

As we continue to add new countries to our platform and expand our customer base, we’re poised for another year of strong growth. We are excited about our progress, but know that this is only one of many steps to ensure that immigrants are well-equipped to build a fulfilling life in their new home country. We’ve got a lot more work ahead of us.
